Op de gamescom van dit jaar liet Sony al weten PlayStation Plus flink te gaan uitbreiden. Dat is al een beetje gebeurt door de toevoeging van de ‘instant game collection’, maar ook de PS Vita krijgt binnenkort PS+ ondersteuning!

Sony heeft vanochtend tijdens de TGS persconferentie aangekondigd dat de PlayStation Plus service ook naar de handheld komt in november. Het is een uitbreiding van het huidige PS+, dus je huidige abo is al geschikt voor de PS Vita. Je hoeft dus niet twee keer PS+ aan te schaffen! Sony heeft ook al wat details gegeven over hoe de service op de PS Vita werkt en dat staat hieronder voor je op een rij:

PS Plus PS Vita

  • Games: Plus members get to play the full versions of designated content for PS Vita available on PlayStation Store as long as their membership is effective, at no extra cost.
  • Discounts: Access exclusive discounts on certain PS Vita titles.
  • Online Game Save: Upload game save data for compatible games to Online Cloud Storage, offering up to 1GB of space.
  • Automatic content downloads and updates: PS Vita will automatically download designated game demos and game updates, and also download system software updates.
  • Automatic Trophy sync: PS Vita will automatically start up at a designated time to sync Trophy information across PlayStation Network servers.

Je kunt straks dus zo ongeveer dezelfde features verwachten als je nu al op de PS3 krijgt. Het is dan ook tof dat de PS Vita er bij wordt betrokken door Sony, zonder dat je daar extra voor hoeft te betalen, toch?
