Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer bèta draait op 720p 

Ontwikkelaar 343 Industries heeft laten weten dat de bèta niet de definitieve resolutie van de game heeft, de bèta zal namelijk op 720p met 60fps draaien.

Josh Holmes van 343 Industries vertelde aan Eurogamer dat de definitieve multiplayer-ervaring wél op 1080p met 60fps zal draaien.

“For the beta, we’re going to be coming out at 720p and 60fps. That’s not the final resolution for the game. You can imagine as we go through the remainder of the project we’ll be focused on polishing the visual look of the game. The final resolution should be 1080p/60fps. “

Verder wordt er verteld dat de engine vanaf het begin af aan is gebouwd met de intentie om de game op 60fps te laten draaien. Dat zorgt voor een soepele speelervaring en is erg mooi nieuws voor Halo-spelers.

“We’ve gone and re-architected the engine from the ground up, we’ve built all of the gameplay systems around 60fps,”

De Halo 5: Guardians bèta is van 19 december tot 19 januari. De uiteindelijke game verschijnt in de herfst van 2015.
