Castlevania film in development hell

Helaas voor de Castlevania fans, maar jullie zullen nog even moeten wachten op de verfilming van je favo game. Paul W.S. Anderson, de gozer die de games Mortal Kombat, Resident Evil en Alien vs Predator naar het grote doek bracht, vertelde dit in een interview. Hij wil hem wel maken, maar de boel is in development hell beland.  
Het probleem is dat de productiemaatschappij achter de Castlevania film, Rogue Pictures, is verkocht. Dus nu zit de film zonder geld. Bovendien komt er waarschijnlijk weer een grote staking aan in Hollywood, want de afspraken tussen de filmstudio's en de Screen Actors Guild lopen deze zomer af. Dus zelfs áls Paul W.S. Anderson het geld zou hebben om aan de film te beginnen, dan zat hij tijdens de productie zonder acteurs.

In Andersons woorden: "We still want to make the movie, but I can't say we're going into production in January or anything like that. It's a project that everybody likes. I love the videogame. I think the script is really strong. Everyone is really enthusiastic about it, but we're still in the process of deciding when the movie gets shot."

Ach sund. Het goede nieuws is dat Anderson zijn hulp aan de Spy Hunter verfilming heeft opgezegd, omdat hij het script te kut vond. Kijk, zo hoort het.
